In the top-left corner, a red paint-splash shape contains the words “OUT NOW” in white. At Churches Together in England (CTE) Enabling Group yesterday, a number of high profile speakers gave theological, sociological and critical reflections on the rise of Christian Nationalism in the UK, seeking to define it and identify the challenges it poses to the Churches. There were also many practical suggestions for how we might respond.
Today, they have officially launched a new resource, Kingdom over Nation, designed to be used ecumenically by local churches and in other spaces to help us to wrestle with some of these issues. Please do share these resources widely with the churches you work with, and perhaps even initiate a discussion group yourself.
