Our Community Open Day on 4 May was a joyful and encouraging day of welcome, worship and community connection. It was wonderful to see the church, hall and field filled with conversation, creativity, laughter and reflection throughout the day. The combination of an open church alongside Faith in the Field created a relaxed and accessible environment where people of all ages felt able to engage in different ways.

Visitors enjoyed exploring activities across the site, spending time in the church building, connecting with local groups and sharing refreshments together. Feedback from attendees highlighted the warm atmosphere, friendly welcome and strong sense of community felt throughout the day. Family activities, live performances, creative prayer spaces and nature-based activities were especially well received, with many expressing appreciation for the gentle and inclusive approach to sharing faith.

The event was made possible through the support of volunteers, community groups, local businesses and generous donations. We are especially grateful for the encouragement and practical support received during the planning process and on the day itself.

Most importantly, the event created opportunities for new conversations, renewed connections and wider engagement with the church and community. We hope this will continue to grow through future events and ongoing outreach. We give thanks for a day filled with welcome, joy and fellowship, and for all those who helped bring the vision to life.
