Disability Awareness Sunday 2026

Disability Awareness Sunday this year is Sunday 27 September. However, you are encouraged to designate any Sunday in the autumn (or at any time of year) as a time to focus on the stories and experiences of disabled people in the church and wider society.

The theme this year is ‘One body, many parts’, based on 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, showing that we are all part of the body of Christ, the Church.

 We have two short videos available for churches featuring Triona Brading, a young autistic Christian, giving a greater understanding of autism and neurodiversity and how we all have an essential part to play in the body of Christ. A free pack is available including the videos, Bible reading, prayers, activity ideas, suggested hymns and songs, and notes for speakers.
