Disability Awareness Sunday 2026

Disability Awareness Sunday 2026
Disability Awareness Sunday this year is Sunday 27 September. However, you are encouraged to designate any Sunday in the autumn (or at any time of year) as a time to focus on the stories and experiences of disabled people in the church and wider society.
The theme for this year is ‘One body, many parts.’ The material is drawn from 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 and has been written and developed with Triona Brading, a young autistic Christian who is a ministry trainee in the London Diocese.
‘Through the roof’ have produced resources to help you create a service with disabled people in your congregation that will help you understand more of what it is to be labelled as disabled today. Register here to receive the resources. John Beauchamp is available to help you develop your Disability Awareness Sunday Service and visit churches in London to preach if he can. john.beauchamp@london.anglican.org
