What a wonderful week we have had at Cinebowl Uttoxeter celebrating Easter through the lens of the film The King of Kings. Over the course of the week, we welcomed more than 1,000 children and young people to this ecumenical event. Thank you to everyone who helped make it possible.
The impact of the week has been truly incredible. Students have shared that it was the best film they have ever seen, staff have commented on how clearly and powerfully the film presents the life of Jesus, and parents have been amazed at the generosity shown by the churches. In fact, while I was having my hair cut recently, the lady cutting my hair mentioned that her son had attended one of the screenings and had shed a few tears while watching such a moving story. It is just one of many examples of lives being touched simply through a visit to a local cinema.”
