**Worship is Word and Sacrament**

Speaker - Revd Dr Elaine Colechin, URC minister who becomes Synod Clerk of the Southern Synod in July 2026. Elaine writes, “There is a strand of our tradition that feels that worship is not worship without the community both gathering around the Word and the Table. Why? What difference does the sacrament make? We will consider these questions and how it might inform our thinking as a denomination as many of our churches wrestle with who can preside at the table.”

Date: Thursday 13ᵗʰ August 2026
